Autumn "Almonoir 2024" 750ml
Orchard House is a vineyard with two vineyards in Hida Kokufu. The "Aki" (Autumn) series of wines are made using carefully selected grapes from that year.
For 2024, 100% "Almondoir" grapes harvested from our own vineyard "Juo-do" along the Miyagawa River were used and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Almondoir is a hybrid of Cabernet Sauvignon, a premium grape variety, and Zweigeltrebe, a cold-hardy variety.
It was named from "harmony," meaning harmony, and "noir," meaning black.
Please enjoy its complex and rich aroma and high acidity.

This is the first barrel-aged red wine produced in Hida.
Furthermore, as a first-ever initiative in the prefecture, used barrels are brought to Hida Takayama Distillery and reused as whisky barrels. Look forward to the collaboration between the post-wine aging barrels and whisky.
