Armonoir 2023 sold out!
Thanks to you, Hida's first authentic red wine, "Armonoir 2023", has sold out!
Thank you very much to everyone who purchased something despite it being our first attempt.
We received many comments saying that it was more delicious than expected. We also heard many comments saying that it has changed since it was first released, that the acidity has been toned down, and that it has progressed in the bottle. Some also said that it tastes better if you keep it for a while ^ ^
The next Armonoir 2024 is scheduled to be released on November 1st.
The Armonoir 2024 is aged in two types of barrels.
- Hida Barrel (Mizunara Whisky Barrel)
- French Oak Barrels
It will be bottled and released after 11 months of aging.
In particular, the Hida Barrel is a collaborative product with Nisshin Mokko and Hida Takayama Distillery, both part of the Hida Takayama Whisky Alliance.
After the wine is released from the barrels, the barrels will be brought to the distillery and then filled with whiskey. It will be very interesting to see how the wine and whiskey change together.
Please try pairing wine and whiskey and comparing them. I'm sure you'll make some new discoveries!
When the wine was packed into the barrels, it gave off a scent similar to Syrah (?!)
I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product.
